For decades, lead-based coatings were used in industrial applications such as warehouses, power plants, bridges, and residential homes. Lead-based coatings were banned in the United States in 1978, and TIC has been offering lead abatement services ever since.
Lead abatement and containment require meticulous planning, the proper equipment, and strict adherence to the many guidelines that ensure the health and well-being of both the workers removing the material and the surrounding environment.
As part of TIC’s commitment to safety while working with lead paint, the team conducts regular inspections, 24-hour air quality monitoring, careful debris, and dust containment, daily blood lead level examinations, and constantly reviews and educates staff members about all safety procedures and requirements.
