About Project

The I-794 Hoan Bridge crosses the Milwaukee River inlet in downtown Milwaukee, WI.

Thomas Industrial Coatings (TIC) was subcontracted to complete lead abatement at hundreds of steel repair locations, recoating all 1,600,000 SF of structural steel in the bridge approach and arch spans.

The structural steel was abrasive blasted to an SSPC SP-10 standard and coated with a zinc/epoxy/urethane paint system.

TIC installed 625,000 SF of SafeSpan suspended scaffolding to allow TIC and other trades to access their work.
