Thomas Industrial Coatings provides abrasive blasting and water tank coating for Martin Hill Resevoir

The Martin Hill reservoir was the largest above-ground potable water storage tank in the continental United States. The footprint would allow a football field inside and the overall height at the center of the roof was approximately 110 feet tall.

Thomas Industrial Coatings was hired to blast both the interior and the exterior surfaces to bare steel, recoating over a six-month period.

Since Thomas Industrial Coatings did Alsip’s other water tower 8 years prior, we had to live up to expectations once again. After applying the clear coat as the final coat in the application process, we felt confident that the Alsip water tower will continue to shine for many, many years.
